An IRC bot for resolution of OpenNIC DNS addresses.
OpenBOT is an attempt at designing an IRC bot for interfacing with the DNS and WHOIS records of the OpenNIC alternate root system.
OpenNIC is one of the most successful alt-root movements, and I personally am involved. In fact, I've also gotten jcp, JStoker, and Tim-7967 involved in OpenNIC.
OpenBOT was my try to contribute to #OpenNIC on irc.freenode.net, by contributing an IRC bot which could assist in debugging, and general DNS workings.
It, in the words of freenode's utility bot frigg, "suffered a terrible failure."
