Asterales is an infrastructure for highly modularized programs. It handles interchangeable parts and registration of new plugins. Asterales is designed for Ruby programs.
For example, perhaps you have a handmade parser with Regular Expressions, and a Treetop parser. Asterales makes it easy to interchange these. Perhaps your application may have plugins with additional windows, which you want to ensure are destroyed when the application is closed. Asterales provides for these situations and provides simple interfaces in GTK and WxRuby so you don't have to deal with them.
