This is not my Launchpad blog, but if you are interested you can start reading below (at the end, is the first message) :))
My latest message is here shown above. By-the-way I don't use an e-mail program on my pc, but visit not every day my web-mail

July, 26 2018 (01:05 CET)

This night I deleted a few Android programs and installed a few program for digital photo-graphics. but during the install and deleting in Synaptic it stopped and didn't close.... from itself it gave an error to call by launchpad:
---------> pk-update-icon package <------
It has something to do with these details (sorry it's written in Dutch):

Bezig met uitpakken van apt-config-auto-update (2.0.0-1) ...
dpkg: fout bij verwerken van archief /var/cache/apt/archives/apt-config-auto-update_2.0.0-1_all.deb (--unpack):
poging tot overschrijven van '/etc/apt/apt.conf.d/10periodic', wat ook in pakket update-notifier-common 3.168.9 zit

Trying to write over a path '/etc/apt/apt.conf.d/10periodic' what is still installed in
'update-notifier-common 3.168.9'

But I cannot close synaptic, it's stuck. Yes, I can use a kill-switch...

By-the-way where can I change my e-mail-address for Ubuntu/Canonical???

So goodnight, have a nice sleep :-)

It has taken more as an half year, 7 months to get in Launchpad again, because at login it said as General by me: YOU ARE STALE AND CAN'T LOGIN!!!
Today I tried another time to get in.... that f*** website. I'm not a stranger with my software or web-connection! Today I saw written on UbunuOne, that Ubuntu & Launchpad want to see my headers if I visit them, I have to look if they are not blocked by my browser Qupzilla. With other words Ubuntu will controle my ways via Launchpad.
I know now the ways to keep spying & tracking organisations out of my computer [is my IP-address not enough anymore].... Most of the IT/computer organisations are blocked/boycotted world wide because of their cooperation with the NSA & the 5-eyes (all intelligences of the English spoken countries) so I have only for Ubuntu and launchpad to get my safety-walls down.... it's a very crazy world in here, thats for sure.
Why is it so high on the list to controll all Linux/Unix users???

Why we all don't get in IPv6 a free VPN/IPSec/proxy-line to keep others out of our computers, with IPv6 the costs per user is almost nothing..... or tell us in easy way how to get that connection [make it self], because most Ubuntu info [wiki] are old an not usual. In example to get such a connection at home, you can try to find a written product-page in the wiki or at otherplaces, but most stories aren't telling the same technics.... the steps are different.
I shall tell only myself a good next year, because nobody have and shall not read this text. So till next year, maybe I can write here my own language [from birth], less translation and energy too.

Just answered the correspondence about shutter: https://answers.launchpad.net/shutter/+question/266807 and came to discover
about myself that I want to control what I do in Ubuntu. At home I write down all the token steps in gEdit to save the document for later, for me it's the best way to learn a new system (after almost 32-year of Microsoft Windows)!

May, 12 -2015
Today gave my errors to the program Shutter again, because the program didn't work (show up) in Firefox. I'm really a fan of Shutter when it's working because there isn't any Linux-program with the same working 'easy screen-shots' ... one mouse click is enough to give Shutter an order to take a picture of the size you want. I don't know if I should react here the same as there was another program working the same as Shutter. Because of health-problems I haven't always enough energy to run behind the error messages of (a general) program. So with those facts I will experience and others have to live with the good moments I shall have...If nobody understand what I mean, simple ask me...

April, 14 - 2015
Today I had again a e-mail-message in my postbox because there was a question not [SOLVED], after unsubscribe me from Actionparchip and the issue it was possible to [SOLVED] the issue. For some members here it's a real f*ck working website here...., by US.... all isn't working as in general use.

Marz, 17 - 2015
Today I pushed by the Ubuntu One (SSO) another e-mailaddress but I got no reaction from them, maybe it came from my last error with shutter? The problem is SOLVED now, but Ubuntu SSO is not working..... pfff, see my last message to 'actionparship':
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shutter/+question/263381
It is strange to see, my karma is returned to zero '0', I'm disabbled and not healthy since 2000 (bedridden 2006), so my karma is not high.... but returned to zero is crazy....... now it is backed to 287

by the way, with my real name I have 'Signed Ubuntu Code of Conduct" but it is not written in this profile, that's how Launchpad for some members is working.... not how it is working for others, that's why we protesting about it!

But nowbody can hear our protest!!! And nobody believes our protests of the very bad working Launchpad-website!!! Why do I have 3 gpg-keys, because Launchpad let me made them, and launchpad blocked my entrance to the site. And if I want to know how this website is working I got from really nobody here an answer, nobody gave me the steps how or what to follow and go the next step, everybody is thinking by his/herself I had to do the same as you now, so you don't here nothing from me...... find your way yourself.
For someone who is not healty and who can't understand the same as others (born with something, not choosen for it myself) but I asked & ask for help like others here....IS THAT SO DIFFICULT TO BE ANSWERED???
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OR WILL YOU WAIT TILL YOUR OWN TIME WILL COME, at the age of 50-60, then you will understand, but for now I have nothing about it. I need help to understand how all is working. If I must find my own way.... I never will find that way, than you can visit my grave and you are too late.
I'm not the only one who is walking in a white coloured website not finding his way to walk between unknown text-buttons, branches.... do I know what an branch is, or what connection it have

It's possible to login with SSO (Ubuntu One) to in Launchpad with the wrong IP-address (ZenMate add-on), but to login in Launchpad isn't possible, it's crazy to stop me because my IP-address isn't the right one, what do others if they are behind a proxy); I even don't like it if any program is controling my GEO-location. I'm free to go on the internet and on the streets.

If Launchpad is saving all IP-addresses from all Launchpad-members than is it an offence for the U.S. & E.U. laws. The UK is not an 'EU-member' jet, maybe for English spoken countries (the 5 eyes) there are another laws.

By the way: I have still another new Ubuntu installation, yes again 14.04 "Gnome Flashback + Cairo Dock" and only during the installation I have reboot and after the kernel update to number -46 not again. I has reboot my computer and all is up to date. But two (2) programs are not working: Shutter & a for me strange mediaplayer 'Exiale'.
I have to write a new udev/fstab document, otherwise for sure I can't login after reboot. I can't find a program what is helping me with writting a new fstab-file, I have to ask somewhere. It's better Ubuntu makes it automatic, but since I started with Ubuntu in Feb.2012 it became only worser what was written.

Because I have had and still have from every Ubuntu LTS-version so many installations (on the same computer) I have even a lot of PGP-keys here at launchpad. Everytime Launchpad had asked for a new PGP, since we log in via Ubuntu One it isn't necessary anymore. For my SSH I have found a solution with my GIT-profle (eglefino), which I can return to my own profile at home. I don't like as a person born with KS (the Syndrome of Klinefelder) any chances, because of that I have problems/trouble to learn from all my steps in

February, 22 - 2015
In this year I have installed the Ubuntu Trusty installation twice (live-cd), the last time it was Friday, 20 (all my Ubuntu-instalations I do together with . The most problems of my Gnome Flashback installation come with the automatic update which will install a new kernel, the new kernel have problems with the NVIDIA-driver. Login is not possible because of X only reinstall is possible.

After every new kernel I have to download the 'dkms-8118' a solution for the RTL8111/8168, because Realtek 8189 driver not working with Linux/Unix distri. This isn't a nice solution

The second problem every time takes place with "Plymouth". Becasuse of that login isn't possible even not with live-cd!

Today tried to re-install 'Handbrake'. First I got an e-mail of Sourceforge about it, than I thought (I shall get again in troubles with the gz-archives, to unpack archives I see mountains on my free-way) so I installed this morning 'Handbrake' from the SoftwareCentre, but after installation I saw it was an old version, so I deleted it (by the softwareCenter) again. And now I tried to install it via UbuntuOne/Launchpad by the terminal. But in the terminal I tried to install the Gui/gtk-version but it went not okay, because something was missing 'handbrake:i386 handbrake'...... old version....pffff
So as last safety I installed the handbrake.AMD64.deb from Launchpad (10.10, last version) ..... 'handbrake-gtk' was no candidate to installation. (steek mij maar lek, ik ben toch wakker?) push a peg in my leg, am I awake....? More mountains.....

Sinds two days I'm not anymore 'Stale' by Ubuntu [SSO] One, so I can again login with all my accounts in diverse fora. The first time I was 'Stale' in Launchpad it took nine (9) months before I could login again. Until now I don't reqally know why it happens every time, I think it's because of the Firefox add-on 'SessionManager'. Session Manager is a great add-on to save (when a PC crash) to save all open tabs in p.e. 3 windows (I have sometimes 60 tabs or more open). Firefox give the same service now in the Firefox Preferences -> 1th tab=General, where you can choose how to start the first window, there are three solutions: Start with a blanco screen, start with your startpage (URL) or to start with all windows/screen when you closed Firefox. When the browser of Firefox crash only one window or nothing will be saved by Firefox, this had happen more times so.
I'm working with "Ubuntu Gnome Flashback" (since Lucid) where you change windows to the background (in Dutch: werkbladen wisselaar) which you can't see; when this isn't working than I have to take 60 tabs in one window otherwise I can divide it into 3 windows. The highest problem (not a large one) which I have now on the PC is to bring the /home to another hdd and a new installation on p.e. /dev/sda2. With all this trouble and reading on diverse for, there is something positive about that.... I become slowly an Ubuntu installation-expert :-).

- My computer have from the start (when I bought it) a strange problem, where the standard Ubuntu installation will change from the first partition/hdd sda1 to p.e. sdc5. If the next** solution not will work, I will change my BIOS-flash; with this 'Asus P6T base' motherboard and a 'partitial AMI-bios' I have now bios-version: 1408. This version I will reinstall/flash again, if that will not help I will downgrade it one step.
And And if that will not help I by a new High-End computer.
** After a correspondence with Ubuntu SSO I will try to make a new Trusty installation (as usual amd64.iso [x86_64/EMT64/Intel64]PC/Bios) but now saved/mounted on a permanent place on the hdd and a /dev/home separate another hdd, in general I do the same only the iso-file stays on a cd/dvd disk. Hope this choice will help.

How do ubuntu-users get contact higher in the hierarchy to get help, and why is Launchpad asking everytime for a new account plus a new pgp-account, when I must re-install my setup of Ubuntu for a new installation on my computer. It's really crazy to re-install almost every half year with my Trusty Tahr installation to another place (other partition) at my computer, what should happen as all the places/partitions are full? How many gpg- or pgp-accounts should I get on Launchpad? By ubuntuforums/SSO there is only one e-mail-address with one nickname, why is Launchpad so different working as all users with a SSO-account of Ubuntu!!??

July, 6 - 2014 NEW LAUNCHPAD-ACCOUNT
After I signed the "Code of Conduct" I made a new encryption-code and made a new account in Launchpad.net (my 3th account now).
The first account was deleted by a Launchpad-modorator because he said [by a sent e-mail] that I sent thousands of spam mails via my Gmail-account to Launchpad [I had no mail-program on my computer but only webmail at that time]. During maybe 9 months it was not possible to take a new account at Launchpad. After changing my IP-address by my ISP it was suddenly possible, so that mod. had blocked my IP-address because of an DOS-attack by Google. It wasn't my fault.... It's not that I'm negative about what had happen, but at that time I could not defend myself without having any information and respectful correspondence..... something what the "Code of Conduct" ask from a Ubuntu-member. I don't know his name but I hope he will react next time with another tone...

I made my new account with my real name |Ruud Schelvis|, because "I'm open, honest and sincere to myself and with some restrictions also to others.....!"

March, 23 -2014 KERNEL CRASH
Today I had a nice working Gnome Fallback/Flashback, until I got an update and yes another Crash with the same bug, but I could not find a place in Launchpad to place that bug, maybe it sound in all your ears very strange, but if I'm not automatic be sent to launchpad with a bug, than I cannot find the same entrance for a bug with URGENT Code RED, the same bug was now again in the kernel 1.13.0.19 was on the screen in small text, it went wrong with NULL, I'm no technic guy.... so you can write my e-mail if someone can help me. Bettter to place a bomb to awake every-one or to give a link to the entrance.... This all is writing against a transparant wall, nobody gives an answer..... I mis every day a lot of energy because of my health/disorders/2 4/7-pain and all this takes so many energy.... there is almost nothing left. Now I'm working with an old 12.04-Live-CD, because with the 'Trusty Tahr' DVD is not working anymore...... so somebody must repair the kernel !!! kernel 1.13.0.19

March, 20 - 2014 KERNEL CRASH
After I had to restart of 'Trusty Tahr' (after automatic updating) I got a BUG in the kernel and during the re-start the text said that the kernel was in pannic and would be go further in text-motion.
So the half of the screen had some (not to read) small text, maybe a 4pt font type and was even not to read with my loupe.
The other half of the screen was black, because the kernel had stopped without another message.
I know computer crashes very well from my Windows-period (of circa 32 years), but this is my first real Ubuntu crash. Oh yes, one time during my play-periode with Ubuntu (9.04) I had a crash and used the 'rescue-disc', but I never will use that again....pfff

Okay there was no possibility to call the bug to Launchpad or to copy a screen-part (to show what happend), so I re-started... the result was the same. Normal I have a little help [as bedridden & disabled person] from an Ubuntu-support in my neighbourhoud, but know I was 'middle in the night' on my one. I installed Trusty Tahr at the place of Lucid Lynx (10.04, for me the only right working Ubuntu-version for all external hardware)

March, 7 - 2014
I started with Trusty Tahr 14.04 Beta 1, With the installation it's usual (no Unity) to have borders round your windows, but they where not there (Gnome 3 with Compiz) After changing to Gnome Metacity my borders with the orange point above the window came back pfff .

OWN PRIVATE PROFILE (& technical background)
I'm disabled (2000), bedridden (2006) and official Ubuntu-user since January 2012. I have a lot of experience with software/hardware especial with the Windows-software. I come from the Atari/Commodore64-period, that time most home-users only played/changed a lot with music-cassettes. It's now not thinkable but all home computers had a small monitor in 2-colours (dark/light in positive/negative) and a large case below the monitor only working with single density floppies and GWBasic (later Dos).

I'm not here to tell a lot of my handicaps , syndromes and 24/7 pain, but I will tell you that most of the time I haven't enough energy in my body to answer a question (as normal) in two/three-days, sometimes it takes for me a week or more.... and it can also be possible that I don't remember it again, sorry about that.... I wish I could change this tedious side-effects, but I cannot change this about myself.

In the mean time my brain is like a cheese with holes, I have circa 31-year experience with most Windows-software (and hardware) but sometimes it's all gone (it's not my age, but the combination of all my syndromes together). Every time I write a message in a forum or I like that to do and I don't know the translation of a single word and I use a home-dictionary, so if you are born with the English language..... sometimes there could be the wrong translation :). Even in my own language it's difficult to remember easy words when I talk, write or make a (crossword)puzzle.

Because I worked with all Windows-versions myself (without Vista) at least I had a bad time to work with Windows 64-software on a Intel computer. When I try to start with Ubuntu it was of course a strange experience, but I only thought it should not more bad as my Windows-period...:).

So between my illnesses/syndromes I like also to work as volunteer for Lauchpad/Ubuntu.... p.e. to translate from the English language to the Dutch language.
I've translated with nice results for some (open-source) media-programs in the past and I like that to do too here, but I only want to translate plain-text from English to Dutch. With other words, on my age and my health problems it is not my intention to learn a new language (p.e. C++) before starting to translate in a team or without it!

There are not so many volunteers to translate and I understand the rules which are written as translate guide, but I'm not a translator from my profession and nobody have to hire me...
I have read on a lot more English spoken text especial made for translators, but sometimes I thought by myself: "this text is written by an army-guy, because of the intonation of the written text"

I know that translating a text for so many (software) users, the translating rules shall be strong....., but every customer/developer has to know that asking a question [communicate] to a translator F/M 'must' be on a friendly way.

I have read also about the (strange) licence problems (started by the greedy U.S.-government), that translating becoming in a strong waterway... if the developer made it impossible to translate because of the licence, in my opinion it's his problem and not the problem of the translators.

I have a graphic background so I have an eye for searching text-faults!! So I will translate for Ubuntu, Launchpad, Wikipedia, Firefox... if they want me and I don want to make a translation more difficult as necessary. There are so many programs which we use every day, and there is so many text not translated, or even you think it is translated and in the middle are also not-translated text-blocks...
So why make it so difficult to start translating? How comes? Make a translation not more difficulty as needed, 'Wikipedia' has changed also his levels in the translation process! If all volunteers get a low instep there should be a lot more of volunteers! Afterwards (after choosing a branch) you can tell the volunteer the rules on a friendly way.
I'm not a rebel or an hooligan on my age, so what's wrong with all translating teams, do they need me? Maybe I have to sign first the code of conduct.... before I can be a translator.

My experience with Ubuntu. I started with Lucid Lynx (after some playable way with 9.04/9.10) and then with 'Ubuntu Precise' I came in very bad weather. The Precise-version made all wrong what was okay in 'Lucid-version. I was a happy Ubuntu-user when I used Lucid Lynx on my computer, but it was very remarkable that all devices from the installation to the start [and further] were wrong or bad chosen.
If I had my first experience with Ubuntu were with the Precise-version than I had to put all 'Ubuntu' software in a trash-can and never came back for Ubuntu to try, because there is not a day, not a week that the installed software is the same as installed.....it's terrible!!
There is only one way to change all bad set-ups, to change in all good set-ups.... why take Grub all informations from another [earlier] installations? I think that I installed 'Ubuntu Precise' 12 times on my pc [we even tried the 'Alternative', AMD64 and PowerPC-versions] but every time there came strange error-messages from /etc/apt/sources.list or the "software-bronnen" [I don't know the English term], the update-manager or p.e. as now I get strange 'Chinese' characters between the Dutch Menu-text.

Maybe some people on the internet don't like my private choices in life, maybe the U.S..-intelligences don't like my public charities. I'm an European fan/supporter of the whistle-blowers organisation 'Wikileaks', and I'm a fan of 'Sea Shepherd', a fan of Tibet & the Dalai Lama.... and it is realy normal that I support them with donations.

I installed all my Ubuntu-versions together with a specialist of Ubuntu, the guy [is also disabled] had given me the first Ubuntu-CD to try-out Ubuntu 9.04, 9.10, 10.04 and now 12.04.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've tried to ask a question here but it wasn't going well as-usual! I don't know my ways here in Launchpad, maybe I got in by a 'side door', because I read not from other readers some problems at Launchpad.....

Rest of the text will be placed above, by date!
