LIRC 0.8.5pre2
PPA description
LIRC 0.8.5pre2 has better support for SoundGraph imon devices (especially 15c2:0036 and 15c2:0038). It also has a userspace driver for CommandIR devices.
I compiled this for my own use, but was pretty careful about including as many of the patches used in the official 0.8.4a released by Ubuntu.
The cmdir device driver has been dropped upstream in favour of the commandir userspace daemon.
The pvr150 driver has also been dropped upstream and I was unable to compile the patched version in 0.8.4a against this branch, so it is also missing. The reciever functionality appears to be included in the i2c driver but I don't have this hardware so can't test.
Adding this PPA to your system
You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:atomic0x/ppa to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:atomic0x/ppa
sudo apt update
