My name is Alexandre, and I'm a proud user of Ubuntu since October 2004 :)

I studied for four sessions at the Université du Québec à Montréal in education to become a high school teacher, but later my interests have changed and I went to study managing of computers networks. Before it became my job activity, computers and informatics were first of all a hobby for me. Since machines (PCs, smartphones, cellphones, PMPs...) are so much present in today's life, I believe it is important for everyone to know them, how they work, how to use them, and how they impact other machines. "Just Work (tm)" is not for me: I think it's important ones know what they are doing when they do some things on their PCs.

I now work as a technician in IT.
